Salsa The Night Away

Well if I can't get Love, I can always make Salsa

Home Base Salsa

I eat a lot of Salsa, and it's a heavy Tomato base, this recipe is for the basic Salsa I make two to three times a week. Yes that much- about 50 to 60 oz per batch. From this home base Salsa I can build other Salsa recipes, which we will explore in the weeks ahead.

Home Base Salsa

One 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes, I use Dei Fratelli, I like the taste and its a no salt added product
One 28 oz can of diced tomatoes, I use Dei Fratelli, but with these I drain off the liquid

4 oz of green cilies, grilled lightly

4 oz of jalopenoes grilled lightly
Onion to your taste, grilled lightly

2 tablespoon of cumin
Add garlic if you like, for taste

Fresh cilantro for taste

Stir and eat

It makes about 4 15 oz jars that are gone in 3 to 4 days. refrigerate what you don't eat with in a few Hrs.

Eat with chips of course, or with celery, I use a no salt corn chip, as I prefer to taste the Salsa and the chip not salt.

The best is yet to come. Love and Salsa    JDen
